3 months Training Agreement moving onto permanent once probation period is over
Reports To : Team Leader
Purpose of the Job : Promoting, qualifying and then offering Insurance Products to targeted customers.

Using selected data Agents will be responsible for performing outbound calling activities offering insurance products to customers based on their needs and requirements. This will include establishing needs by following a structured approach to information gathering, drawing on strong product knowledge and excellent communication skills to present solutions that meet the customer’s needs.

Additionally, confidently taking interested prospects (from all demographics) through a qualification and approval process. Operating in a competitive market Agents will also be tenacious and goal driven to ensure that approved customers select our client for their business.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience :
  • Matric or relevant NQF Level 4 qualification or higher
  • Experience in insurance or insurance like sales, successfully working in an outbound contact centre – (min 12 months, ideally 24 months)
  • Experience of selling similar products highly desirable
Job Responsibilities : The success of the role holders will be achieved predominantly through effective outbound calling (although there will be some inbound calls) and the role holder will use strong communication skills together with objection handling in promoting and gaining interest in the services.  Once interest is achieved there will be a further qualification of the client circumstances and once a match is established an appointment will be arranged for a Designer to attend the prospective customers property for a consultation.

There will be a requirement to accurately capture and update prospective customer records in both the dialler and the Clients CRM, so attention to detail is a critical component of the role.  

Competencies Required :
  • Contact targeted customers using outbound calling to establish possible interest in the Insurance products available.
  • Undertake needs analysis to establish requirements (product, value and premiums)
  • Tailor suitable options to requirements and further qualify customers through to the end of the sale.
  • Gain commitment to purchase to ensure that our client achieves desired market share.
  • Potentially follow up with customers for outstanding information for the sale to be completed
  • Problem solving skills with the ability to identify customer needs and match to features of product solutions and available benefits.

Agent Profile :
  • Outbound contact centre sales of financial products including insurance sales highly desirable.
  • Must meet FAIS requirements.
  • Proven track record of delivering against sales targets and passionate about delivering great service.
  • Strong literacy and verbal communication in English with an additional language (Afrikaans, Zulu, Sotho and Xhosa) an advantage

Salary; Incentives & Commissions : TBC +Plus Commission
