Marketing Agent


Position : Marketing Agent x 5 – (3x Europeans / 1 x Middle East / 1x EC Australia aligned)

Term 3 months initial assignment
Reports To : Team Leader
Purpose of the Job : To support achievement of Client objectives in promoting their Office and Space optimization software through the effective engagement of targeted prospective customers. This is a Business-to- Business campaign, where using Client provided data the role holder will use a combination of telephone calls and emails to engage suitable prospective customers, undertake product promotion and gain a Teams based / or face to face appointment for the inhouse Sales Executive to further engage and close the sale. The Marketing Agent will be responsible for performing outbound activities and handling predominantly inbound email responses to nurture prospective customers and will need a deep understanding of the products features and benefits to be able to optimise outcomes. In addition to the engagements there will be a requirement to update the dialler and CRM on the status of engagement (both planned, in-flight and outcomes).


Minimum Qualifications and Experience :
  • Matric or relevant NQF Level 4 qualification or higher
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Sales / Lead Generation / Appointment Booking Contact Centre environment in similar B2B role


Job Responsibilities : To plan and execute a rolling program of prospective customer engagement using lead data and technology platforms and through strong communication skills (Voice and written) and a deep understanding of the product and associated services be able to effectively generate interest across the target audience. This will also involve a process of qualification to ensure there is a strong match before scheduling an appointment for a sales Executive to progress the next stage of the journey towards sale.


  • Target and make effective outbound telephone calls to gain access to the identified prospective customer (previous experience of B2B is essential as a knowledge of how to optimize access when a ‘gatekeeper’ may be involved’
  • Target, construct (using existing framework templates) and further personalize email communications to engage prospective customers effectively.
  • Once access to the prospective customer is achieved, must be able to promote the product and services in a confident manner either through voice, email, or a combination of both.
  • Be adept at following Clients ‘prospective customer qualification’ process to ensure that only suitable and interested prospective customers are progressed to appointment.
  • Schedule appointments into Sales Executives diary
  • Update records in dialler and CRM platforms to ensure that there is a clear understanding of contact history steps taken with each prospective customer until such time as an outcome is achieved (this will also be recorded)
  • Through effective time management schedule work to optimize contact and productivity to achieve best and most cost-effective outcomes

Agent Profile :
  • Extensive work experience essential (Sales/Lead Generation and Appointment booking in Contact Centres) 
  • Must have enjoyed success in an International B2B role (ideally Europe / USA (and of working USA hours if the latter)
  • Neutral English accent when communicating
  • Strong literacy together with strong verbal and written communication

Salary; Incentives & Commissions  : TBC

  • Monday to Friday 08:00 – 18:00
